what personal data we collect and why we collect it
When you pay us a project fee using www.konect-group.com or send us a message with one of the contact forms, some of your personal data will be collected and stored. This policy explains what data is collected, why it is collected, how it is used and who has access to it.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
You can send us a message from contact forms on several of our pages. You’ll have to give your consent for us to use your data every time you do this (by checking the tick box).
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies (small pieces of data sent from our website to you). These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We also use cookies to work out (with analytics) who has been browsing our website and how they have been browsing it, so we can make it better for you.
who we share your data with
We might share your data with some of our affiliates, agents or sub-contractors to provide the services you’ve asked us to provide and to enable us to review, develop and improve the services offered by us and to enable us to provide you and other customers with relevant information through our marketing programme (including direct marketing).
We do not collect or process your credit or debit card details. These are, however, collected and processed by our payment processing service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd (“Stripe”). The collection and processing by Stripe is governed by their respective terms and conditions. See https://stripe.com/gb/privacy for more information. Stripe may from time to time provide us with information regarding the credits and debits made to your card in order to enable us to reconcile our accounts.
how long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
what rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
What third parties we receive data from
Google Maps
This website uses the map service Google Maps, which allows the display of interactive maps and the use of the map feature directly on our website. The Google Maps service uses persistent cookies. This takes place whether you are logged in to a Google user account or not. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned to your user account. If you do not want the data to be assigned to your account, you will need to log out before accessing the map feature. Google stores your data as a user profile and utilises it for advertising, market research and/or to provide personalised services on their website. More specifically, such analysis is carried out (even for users who are not logged in) to provide targeted advertising and to provide other social network users with information about your activities on this website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles. This right can be exercised directly with Google.
For more information regarding the purpose and extent to which Google collects, processes and uses data as well as your rights in this regard and the settings available to protect your privacy, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
